Hills Community Aid provides a range of support programs for women who have been subjected to domestic or family violence, or who are supporting someone who has. These programs aim to provide a safe, supportive opportunity for women to grow and develop while creating links within the community.
If you are a man who has been subjected to domestic or family violence, or a man or woman who recognises that they need support in how they behave towards their partner, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to link you with services that can provide you with the support you need.
The programs we offer include:
Moving Forward is a program of small group workshops for women which aims to build knowledge, resilience and strength whilst developing connections with other women.
Workshop topics include healthy relationships, financial literacy, work and study options, housing and self care.
Employability Skills Program
Our employability skills program is provided with a Registered Training Office (RTO) which enables women to access supported training to increase their opportunities to enter the workforce. Hills Community Aid also provides support in discussing ways to find and apply for jobs, skills such as communication, boundaries and self-care, as well as linking clients with other support services when needed.
Hills Community Aid in partnership with Wesley Mission can provide financial literacy workshops that provide support, information and empowerment about budgeting, loans and managing your money.
Women’s Support Group
Hills Community Aid welcomes women to be part of a monthly group that offers a safe space to connect with and support each other. The safety and confidentiality of all women who attend this group is our utmost concern so if you are interested in finding out more, please contact Hills Community Aid on 02 9639 8620 and speak with the Safe Communities Worker or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
