Creating safe, healthy, connected and inclusive communities.
We deliver a range of social, financial and educational programs that assist, strengthen and connect all communities
We achieve this by identifying gaps in services for the vulnerable and implementing programs to reduce disadvantage. We work cooperatively with and seek financial support from other agencies, governments, and businesses.
Our Core Values
Hills Community Aid (HCA) was established in 1969 by Mary Lane, a local social worker living in the Hills District. A mother of young children herself, Mary identified a lack of services for mothers needing support. HCA was created as a result of Mary’s lobbying efforts and determination, coupled with support from Baulkham Hills Shire Council and local church groups.
From these humble beginnings, HCA grew as an independent provider of community services and programs such as Meals on Wheels, emergency child-minding services and taking elderly people shopping.
Today, HCA continues to be an independent, not-for-profit provider of essential front-line services to vulnerable and disadvantaged residents of the Hills and Western Sydney communities.
